Under a privately owned, covered horse arena on a cold and rainy October night, Milton's six City Council candidates in the Nov. 3 elections squared off in a debate that has promised to be an election tradition.
But a few in the crowd thought bland questions didn't allow the candidates to differentiate themselves.
More than 100 people showed up to Shannondale Farms Oct. 15 to watch the "Milton People's Forum," which featured questions on building a "live, work, play environment" in Milton, gating Crooked Creek and growth over the next decade. Also covered were taxes, building a public horse arena, public safety staffing levels, traffic congestion, a new Milton County and recreational trails.
