Gates open: noon-11 p.m. Sept. 23-26 (midway opens at 3 p.m.); 11 a.m.-11 p.m. Sept. 27; 2-8 p.m. Sept. 28

Held in Macon since 1851, the Georgia State Fair offers amusements and entertainment from midway rides to agricultural displays. Also, a "Battle of the Bands" and "Macon a Star" competitions, Miss Georgia State Fair pageant and a world record kazoo attempt on Sept. 25th.
