The City of Roswell’s Transportation Department (RDOT) will present proposed improvements for Hardscrabble Road at King Road and Chaffin Road at a public open house on May 13 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Roswell High School Media Center, 11595 King Road. Roswell DOT staff will be available to answer any questions and explain the impacts on the area.
Hardscrabble Road at the intersections of King Road and Chaffin Roads (east & west) have significant traffic flows in almost every approach/direction during rush hour periods. The City conducted a traffic analysis of the area and held a public meeting in January 2008.
Considering public input, existing conditions and future needs, the proposed improvements include: adding traffic control, turn lanes, bike lanes and pedestrian facilities. The improvements will have minimal impact on the area and will ease traffic flow.
