Help Milton’s Hungry through Stamp Out Hunger on Saturday, May 10
On Saturday, May 10, the National Association of Letter Carriers will sponsor the 16th annual Stamp Out Hunger national food drive. This drive helps the North Fulton Community Charities (NFCC), among other organizations, fill the pantry shelves to help the hungry throughout the year. Last year’s food drive collected 70.7 million pounds of food in the U.S., and our own NFCC received 16 tons! If you’d like to participate, simply leave non-perishable foods such as canned vegetables, fruit, pasta or cereal in a sturdy bag next to your mailbox prior to the time of the morning’s regular mail delivery. For more information or to volunteer for the drive, contact Karen Rupp at 770.640.3099, ext. 230, or via e-mail at krupp@nfcchelp.org.
