While there has been some activity on the 87-acre, $600 million mixed-use Avalon site at Ga. 400 and Old Milton Parkway in Alpharetta, North American Properties Managing Partner Mark Toro said Phase I of the project is getting close to full occupancy before ground is broken.
“We have 50 percent of Phase I leases executed or in negotiations. We have another 25 percent with letters of intent,” Toro said last week.
Avalon is scheduled to open in April 2014.
“Avalon will deliver a purposefully designed experience in the art of living well,” said Toro. “Imagine stepping into a retail environment that feels and delivers like a five-star resort.”
Avalon’s completely unique guest and resident experience has already attracted best-in-class restaurants and retailers to open their first suburban Atlanta locations in Alpharetta. And Avalon expects more, he said.
